The Westgate Unitarian Chapel is a Grade II Star Heritage building in a historic conservation area in Wakefield city centre. As part of the Historic Action Zone project, we were lucky enough to secure the works contract for the chapel. As part of the project, we provided mortar specifications for Wakefield council and traditional skills training for Wakefield College students. The training we provided was essential to ensure the chapel was restored to its former glory. The restoration of Westgate Unitarian Chapel was a huge success thanks to our team of skilled professionals. Our mortar specifications were vital to ensuring that the building remained in good condition, and our traditional skills training was essential in restoring the building to its former glory. Afterwards, the students got to practice what they had learned by working around the grade II listed building and applying the mortars where required.
